April A to Z

Yes, I'm really going to do this and you can too!!!

So while I was perusing the numerous blogs that I subscribe to, I found something really interesting.  Jennifer Daiker at unedited has this A to Z Blogging Challenge for the month of April.  I don't know who originated it, and it is probably in poor form to not link all the way back to the originator, but what can I say.  I'm lazy.  If you click her link it will take you to a sign up page.

I've been lacking inspiration of late which is why I haven't been blogging much, so I'm thinking this might be a good way to get me going again.  The idea behind it is that there are 26 letters in the alphabet and if you blog 6 days a week for the whole month you'll be able to get in a blog post for every letter.

This could end up being a huge bust, but I'm going to give it a go.  By all means if you are even the least bit interested click the link sign up and have a go at it yourself.  I'm sure that all of you can come up with really good stuff and I would love to see it.  Of course there are some of you, and you know who you are, that won't want your topics or creativity to be constrained in this manner and I understand that too.  Some of us need a little prompt, or prod to get moving.

If you do want to participate, sign up, grab the button, post it on your blog and you're all set.  I'll be putting up my button shortly.

Who is with me?

  1. WTH, I'll give it a go.
Can't guarantee I'll have a whole lot with letters like Q or Z. Ya never know though.

  2. Sounds fun. But I'll pass this time. I'm swamped. I'll be rooting for you, though. I know you can stick to it.

  3. Yay! You've joined! I did too. And I keep vacillating between excitement and dread. But, I find I work better under pressure, so who knows? It might just get you out of a slump. Good luck.

  5. I've got to pass on this one. Everything is upside down now with moving (as you know all too well) and just trying to deal with health issues. Good luck and look forward to reading it.

  6. I'm overflowing with ideas, so I'll pass. However, I want to see how your journey goes! Maybe one day, when my motivation dries up, I'll give it a go.

  7. Yay Ruth!!! I think it will be fun!!! I'm a tiny bit worried about keeping the deadline, but then often a deadline is just what I need.

Swamped is a really good reason to not do this. I understand. I'm just excited to have blogging 'purpose' again.

Li - I totally work better under pressure. When I was a college student I would always wait until the last minute to dash off my writing assingments (papers) I may have mentioned that I'm not a particularly disciplined writer. *grin*

JM - Let me know if you sign up too!!! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Barb - Having been there and done that so very recently, I can completely understand why you aren't hopping on the blog challenge train this time. Take care of yourself, you.

Lost - I see that you have no shortage of ideas and creativity. In reading your archives I have to say that I loved your take on the local Meth commericals.

  8. I would...but I'm not disciplined enough to write everyday. Or I'm just lazy, one of the two.

  9. I am terrible with commitment when it comes to those things. I started off blog month not writing for like two weeks. I buckle under pressure!

  10. I am too timid to commit but I'll be checking in with you to provide encouragement.
